Copper Creek Elementary again celebrates an "A" rating for Accountability and Achievement from ADE.  Congratulations teachers and students for a job well done!

Welcome Back Bobcats:

Thursday August 6, 2015, Copper Creek will host Back to School Night for students and parents.  Kindergarten through sixth grade teachers will be offering TWO SESSIONS for the convenience of parents. The first session will be held from 5:00-5:40 pm.  Parents and students will have a few minutes to greet the teacher, say hello to new classmates and find their assigned seats.  The ringing of the school bell signals “Listen and Learn Time”.  Teachers have prepared informative presentations. The second session will be held from 5:45-6:30 pm.  This session is identical to the first session.  We anticipate the first sessions to be very full, so if the second session works better for you we encourage you to attend it.  Our Sage program will offer two sessions.  The first begins at 4:30 pm and the second at 5:00 pm.  Both sessions will offer the same information.  Mrs. Simmons Pre-K session will start at 4:30 pm.  Mrs. Bolinger will a 4:00 pm session for students that will attend in the morning.  At 5:00 pm she will hold a second session for the PM students.

Starting at 4:30 pm gates will open to allow parents time to visit information stations located in the media center.  If you have questions regarding transportation, food services, Scouts or Bobcat Den, please stop by their station.  PTSA will also have an information station.  They will have information about classrooms and how to join.  And, to round out the evening, our fabulous PTSA will be hosting a social in the court yard throughout the evening.  If the weather is unbearable we will move our social to the cafeteria.  It is going to be an awesome evening for the students, parents, and staff.

The first day of school for students is Monday, August 10th.  Students are invited on campus at 8:15 am and will line up on the playground at the designated grade level area.  Students will see signs marking their grade level area.  At 8:20 am teachers will escort students to their room.  Parents may accompany their child to the playground on the first day only.  Kindergarten students go directly to the kindergarten gate and will be greeted by the teachers.  Dismissal for kindergarten will be a handoff at the gate just a few minutes before 3:15 pm to avoid the crowds.  Students will be dismissed at 3:15 pm.  First grade students and first grade teachers will wait for parents behind the gates.  Teachers will be happy to clarify the arrival and dismissal procedures at Back To School Night.

  • Fake Form

A joker has done a good job using our old logo to make this form look real. It's pretty funny too -- but this is NOT real. Please spread the word!

  • AzMERIT Update

The Arizona College and Career Readiness Standards (AZCCRS) for reading and math set higher expectations for students. This means that expectations for student achievement are higher than they used to be with the previous AIMS state assessment. As state officials have recently reported, it is likely that fewer students will score at the higher achievement levels on the AzMERIT assessment, especially the first few years.
