Rachel's Challenge
This month's challenge: DREAM BIG!

This year do something that will impact the lives of students. Keep your tax dollars local! Any amount will help DVUSD students. Your tax credit goes directly to the school you choose, not to the state or district. Your school tax credit donations can provide DVUSD students with opportunities to after school and summer programs, field trips, music and athletic programs or any other extracurricular activity.

The Arizona tax credit program (A.R.S. 43-1089.01) allows a tax credit of up to $200 for individuals and up to $400 for married couples, filing jointly, in support of extracurricular activities. Submit your tax credit online on the district’s website, www.dvusd.org or pick up or download the form and mail in your check. Your tax credit receipt will be mailed to you.

DVUSD District Calendar Changes
Deer Valley Unified School District's graduation dates had to be changed from its original dates due to Peoria Unified School District adopting the same graduation dtes. That means hosting graduation ceremonies at the University of Phoenix Stadium would not be a possibility if the district maintained last year's graduation dates. The district presented two calendar options to the Board during the November 26 Board Meeting. After reviewing both options, the Board adopted a calendar with graduation dates for May 28-29 and a week-long fall break along with extra break days. The new approved district calendar can be found on the district website or click here to download a 2014-15 calendar.
