Mrs. Foster - Social Studies and Language Arts

Welcome to the sixth grade! I am so excited to teach your child this school year. Please feel free to stop by and introduce yourself. Time flies when you are having fun! I have been teaching for 12 years. I have a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. My goal is to pass my passion for learning on to your child.
My family and I have lived in Anthem for 3 years. In our free time, my husband and I like to spend time with our two young children. We enjoy visiting all the parks Anthem has to offer, swimming in our pool, and getting together with our extended family.
Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions!

Mrs. Hardy - Science and Math

It is a pleasure to have your child in my classroom this year. I will be teaching science and one block of mathematics. This will be my fourteenth year of teaching. I have a  Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from the University of South Carolina where I took advanced courses in math and science. I continued my education at Arizona State University West where I earned my Post-Bac in Elementary Education. I have also earned my Masters in Education from Ottawa University.
I was born in Pennsylvania but have lived in many areas. My husband served in the U.S. Air Force for twenty-two years which allowed us the opportunity to travel and gain many new experiences. We have a teenage daughter that is an Arizonian.
I look forward to an amazing year. Together we will make great strides. Go Rockets!

Ms. Linert - Math

Hello Rockets!

I have lived in the north valley almost my entire life.  Aside from teaching, I am very passionate about softball, elephants, and just about any outdoor activity such as camping, wakeboarding and snowboarding.

I graduated from Grand Canyon University in December 2012 as Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. My area of emphasis was in mathematics.  I am also a member of Kappa Delta Pi an International Honor Society.  I did my student teaching in 8th grade math and I was a long term substitute for 7th & 8th grade math the Spring Semester at Gavilan Peak.

I’m very excited about being part of the 6th Grade Team teaching math this year at Anthem!  The 90 minute block will allow us to learn Common Core Standards as well as apply these skills to real-world applications.

I am looking forward to an amazing year watching every student develop not only their mathematics skills but as individuals.

Mrs. Rader - Language Arts

I have been living in Anthem for 13 years with my family. I have a husband of 24 years, a son who is a junior at ASU (Go Devils!), and a daughter who is a senior at Boulder Creek High School. We round out our house with 2 dogs, a cat, a tortoise and a guinea pig. I have developed a deep connection with many of the families in Anthem and am very proud to see what Anthem School has to offer our students.
I am so excited to be teaching Language Arts this year. I have been teaching for 20 years, the majority of which have been at the 6th grade. Over the years I have taught all subject areas but my specialization has always been Reading and Writing. This year's 6th graders are going to benefit from a 90 minute block of reading and writing and our focus will be on developing lifelong skills while implementing the Common Core Standards.
Over the summer, I have worked with several other teachers to develop some wonderful learning experiences for my students which will include literature studies, real-world writing applications and exposure to literacy across all of the content areas.
I look forward to a wonderful, productive year working with parents and students.
