Battle of the Books
4th Annual DVEF BATTLE OF THE BOOKS
Fifth and sixth grade students make their own teams of two or three students (with a minimum of 4 teams per school
and a maximum of 30 teams per school) to compete and test their knowledge in three exciting school competitions
during the 2016-2017 school year. Winning teams will move on to
regional, district and inter-district-wide competitions.
Team members are assigned 4 different books to read for each competition. The top scoring team
from each school will compete in the district finale in April/May.
The top team that wins at the district level will go on to compete in a battle with Chandler, Gilbert,
Higley, Mesa, and Queen Creek/Combs Districts in May.
