  • Mission

The mission of the Transportation Department is to provide safe, reliable, respectful and efficient transportation for all passengers, and to ensure continuous improvement through training and communication with all employees.

Our primary purpose is to transport students to and from school safely, efficiently and dependably, to provide the highest quality of support for the educational programs by delivering the best possible transportation services.

The Deer Valley Unified School District Transportation Department offers transportation service for:
    • Kindergarten - students who live over 1/2 mile from school.
    • Grades 1-6 - students who live over 1 mile from school.
    • Grades 7-8 - students who live over 1 1/2 miles from school.
    • Grades 9-12 - students who live over 1 3/4 miles from school.

It is our goal to provide a safe, efficient pupil transportation service. To accomplish this goal, there are responsibilities and rules for each member involved in the transportation system, staff, students and parents. We ask parents to become familiar with the rules and procedures and to discuss them with their child.
