Welcome to 6th Grade!  My name is Mr. Groves but my students usually call me Mr. G. I’m so excited to be your child’s teacher this year! This is my 1st year teaching sixth grade at New River Elementary School. I previously taught at the middle school level and look forward to helping prepare your child for a successful academic future. I can’t wait to get to know you and your child as we celebrate their final year at the elementary school level!

I am a parent of four successful children and a grandparent to eleven beautiful grandchildren. Throughout my years, I  have had the opportunity to live in various parts of the United States, including Hawaii, Alaska and the Apache Indian Reservation.  During that time, I had the pleasure of teaching children of various ages, ethnicities and backgrounds.I love learning and am excited about bringing my life experiences into the classroom.
