I am thrilled to continue my teaching career at Paseo Hills School. This is my 17th year teaching in Deer Valley. I am married to Mr. Almazan and I have two sons: Charlie, 27, and Aaron, 17. 

I love teaching; it is where I found my true calling. I began this journey by volunteering in my oldest son's kindergarten room over 20 years ago! I knew I needed to get an advanced degree so I could become a teacher. I earned my master's degree in elementary education in 2007. I have now taught many different grade levels from kindergarten to 6th grade. 

I love the way children light up when they discover something new. It is especailly enjoyable in sixth grade when students get excited about a new topic. I enjoy encouraging students to persevere and keep trying until they can do something, or until they can understand a difficult concept. We try to have fun and we learn something new every day.
