NEW Principal for 2022-23!
Dear Trailblazer Family,I’m Kenneth Akeley, the new Principal of Vista Peak, I am excited to become a member of this great school community. I look forward to all of the challenges that come with our mission of providing all students with academic, social and emotional growth. I also look forward to meeting all of the Vista Peak students and families.
The 2022-2023 school year will mark my twenty-second year in education. In my twenty-two years, I have been a classroom teacher, behavioral interventionist and a principal in a neighboring school district.
Outside of work my family and I enjoy spending time together. I have a daughter who will start her sophomore year in the Deer Valley school district. We enjoy lots of activities together such as playing golf, rooting for my favorite sports teams especially the NY Yankees and trying out new hiking trails with our dog, Sarge.
It is with a strong commitment that I am joining Vista Peak and the Deer Valley School District. Together, we can ensure that we are all learning and growing for our number one priority. I am looking forward to a great year!Sincerely,
Kenneth Akeley
