Mrs. Maria Wacienga
Hi, My name is Mrs. Maria Wacienga. I was born in New Jersey and moved to Arizona when I was 11 years old. I attended Mirage Elementary School, Desert Sky Middle School and graduated from Deer Valley High School. I continued my education at GCC and ASU where I graduated with a BAE. This will be my 27 year teaching. I started my career teaching 3rd grade and I have taught 3rd, 4th and 5th grade. I feel my home is in 4th grade. I love this age group!
I have been married for almost 25 years and have three amazing children. Meghan 31, Amber 24 and Christopher 17. They have all been students at Mirage! My children keep me very busy when I am not at school. Meghan is our angel and living with Rett Syndrome for 29 years and we are blessed everyday to have her smiling face. Amber graduated from Deer Valley High School and and works as a Medical Assistant for The Core Institute and gave me my first grandson, Bentley Thomas last year. Christopher is a Senior at Liberty High School and busy working as a Pantry Chef at Blackstone Country Club. I am very excited to get another school year under way!
