We, the SAGE Students of Copper Creek Elementary School, challenge ourselves to excel in learning by thinking differently, digging deeper and using our best effort to go beyond expectations as we stretch our brains in different directions.
  • Welcome to the Copper Creek SAGE Website.  SAGE is a  content replacement math at ELA (Language Arts) for 3rd-6th grade identified gifted students.  The program is designed to allow gifted students to rise to high levels of thinking and skills as they explore concepts in unique and "out of the box" ways.  Make sure you check out the blog below for weekly updates including project and assessment dates.

Students who are new to the program for the 2019-20 school year please use the links to Khan Academy below to help transition to the math program (the math program is designated one grade level above, the links will assist in filling gaps before the year begins).  I will be proactive working with students to help fill any gaps during the year.  ELA students find good books and read.

Incoming 3rd graders are all new to the program.  Getting a head start on multiplication facts can be helpful.

Incoming 4th graders will be designated in 5th grade math.  This link will help fill in gaps for the 4th grade Curriculum.  The most important areas are all operations with whole numbers.  Modules 1,3, 5 and 6 are the most important concepts.

Incoming 5th graders will be designated in 6th grade math.  This link will help fill in gaps for the 4th grade Curriculum.  The most important areas are all operations with whole numbers and add, subtract and multiply with decimals and fractions.  Modules 1,2,3, and 4 are the most important concepts.

Incoming 6th graders are desingated as 7th grade math.  For these students being fluent in all operations with whole numbers, fractions an decimals is crucial.  This link will help fill the gaps.

  • It i Summer

Posted by Robyn Cohon on 5/23/2019

I want everyone to have a wonderful and relaxing summer.  Find some good books to read and use the Khan Academy links to stay sharp or improve math skils so you are ready to take off when school begins in August.

To all my new families welcome.  Check for ope house dates and use my links on the right to find an updated suggested supplies for SAGE.

    Summer Suggestions:

Summer Reading Programs- The libraries and Barnes and Noble will give incentives for something you already enjoy.

Blog your vacations and activites - My boys used Wordpress last year (there is a free app) to share their trip with family a friends.  We were even able to create an amazing book at the end.  My boys added a bit of creative humor by making it from the point of view of a stuffed animal (droid/snowman).

Enjoy activities, camp, museums, and anything else that you enjoy.
