    Welcome to 8th grade ELA!
    I am  happy to have you in my class this year. We will be exploring many types of narrative and expository texts to further strengthen your reading level. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you.
    Here is a bit about myself. I have been teaching in the Deer Valley school district for 23 years as a Language Arts educator.
    I have been here at Desert Sky for 22 of those years.
    I thoroughly enjoy teaching young adolescents and having them teach me as well.
    I have one daughter, Madison, who recently graduated high school and is off into the world of adulthood. In my free time I enjoy spending my time with her, as well as reading and watching football (Go Chiefs!!!!).
