Hello Thunderbolt Community,
My name is Michelle Martin, and I am the proud Principal of Desert Sky Middle School. I started my career as a 7th Grade Science Teacher for 13 years. I then moved to the high school level, serving 3 years as a Dean of Students and 9 years as an Assistant Principal, before returning to my middle school roots here at Desert Sky.
I graduated from ASU…three times! I have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction and another Master’s in Administration. I am happily married to my husband, Todd. He is always supportive of me and the school I work at. So, if you see a handsome red head around campus, it is probably him! We have two rescue cats who we absolutely adore as if they were our own children. Fans of fur babies…you know what I am talking about.
My administrative career began as a Dean of Students for one year at North Canyon High School, and two years at Pinnacle High School, both in PVUSD. For the past nine years I have served as an Assistant Principal at Mountain Ridge High School.
I look forward to meeting and seeing you at our parent and family events. I look forward to partnering with you as we get ready for an exciting year ahead!
