Greetings new and returning students. I am an Arizona native and I have always loved nature and science. I have horses, dogs and a cat. I have been married for 33 years and have one daughter.

I graduated from NAU in Flagstaff, AZ with a BS in Biology Education and Physical Science.

I had a career as a Senior Research Technologist that involved cancer research of the respiratory system in Albuquerque, NM. 

I taught 8th grade science at Hillcrest for 15 years before becoming an Exploratory teacher. and before that I taught two years of high school biology, chemistry and physical science.  

I was nominated and awarded DVEA Teacher of the Year in 2008.  I have high expectations, but I hope students will balance learning with a sprinkle of joy as they explore both the history and the cutting edge of science.

This school year I am teaching both 8th grade Science, Advanced 8th Grade Science  and Career Action Lab l and ll.
