Thank you for visiting my website. I have been teaching in the Deer Valley School district since 1984, and have taught a variety of classes and different grade levels.  I began teaching in a self contained special education class for the first 2 years, then moved to first grade for the next 4 years. Looking for a new adventure, I decided to move to 3rd grade and continued there for the next 8 years, until I moved to special education for the next 9 years. Eventually, I moved back to the general education 5th grade program for 7 years and then eventually, moved back to special education, working mainly with 3rd-6th graders for the last four years. I retired and came back to the district part time, first as an RTI behavior specialist and then special education teacher.  I am very excited to be working with your child/children this year. I graduated from Arizona State University (go Sun Devils!) in 1984 with degrees in Elementary Education and Special Education. I received my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from NAU in 2006. I am a native to Arizona and have lived in Phoenix most of my life. I have two daughters and three grandchildren that keep me busy. In my spare time I occasionally do sprint triathlons. I enjoy working with all students and seeing their successes and progress. I am looking forward to working with you to obtain the best possible experience for your child.
