"I grew up on a large ranch in central Montana, which was homesteaded by my grandfather and has been in our family for over 100 years. During those formative years, I learned many life lessons not only from my large family, but also from nature. I learned the value of hard work and the importance of working cooperatively, supporting and respecting each other.   This is what drives my work as an educator. I have enjoyed every moment of my 27 years in education and I look forward to working in partnership with you as we strive to ensure our students are provided with a myriad of tasks, activities and opportunities to be involved in meaningful ways in our school and community."

"I grew up in Iowa and was blessed to have been raised by two parents who were both educators. I was able to witness first hand the tremendous impact great teaching and leadership can have. I attended Iowa State University to play football and earned my Bachelors degree in Secondary Education and Exercise Science. I spent nine years as a teacher and coach prior while earning my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration. I have spent the past five years serving as an administrator and look forward to continuing to hone my craft to serve our students, staff, and community."

"I was born in Erie, Pennsylvania but my family moved to Arizona when I was 10, seeking a climate without so much snow! When I reflect on what drew me to a career in education, it was my kindergarten teacher. She took the time to get to know her students and inspired us to love learning by engaging us in reading. I am a graduate of Paradise Valley High School but my heart is in DVUSD where I began my career in education 28 years ago. I am passionate about building relationships in our school community to increase connectivity and a positive school culture where all learners feel valued and supported to persevere and grow."

"I am an Arizona native and graduate of Northern Arizona University with both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Educational Leadership. I grew up in a family of educators, therefore making a decision to pursue a career in education was an easy decision and 25 years later I still love what I do! I am married to my wife Holly and together we have three beautiful daughters. Professionally, I taught both middle and high school science and math, as well as served as an administrator at both levels. After teaching many years in Arizona, I relocated to Colorado where I spent a decade enjoying both administration and the Rocky Mountains! In 2013, I returned to Phoenix and Barry Goldwater High School, where I am in my 6th year as an assistant principal. It is my goal to create the exceptional educational experience for the students that attend BGHS!"
