Hello Sunset Ridge Families, Staff, and Community Members,

My name is Cassie Hauck, and I am so proud to be named the new Principal of Sunset Ridge School. I have already had the pleasure of meeting many of you, and look forward to working with such a fantastic staff, great students, and a supportive community. It's going to be a great year!

Let me begin by sharing a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Eugene, Oregon where I attended the University of Oregon for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. It was there that I earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education with additional endorsements in Special Education, Early Childhood, and English Second to another Language. I spent the first eleven years of my career teaching a variety of grades third-sixth in both Oregon and Arizona schools. Nine of those years were spent here in the Deer Valley School District. In 2012, I left the classroom to become an Instructional Coach to support instruction and continuous improvement efforts at a Deer Valley Title I school. In 2015, I received an Assistant Principal position in a neighboring district, and have been working in this role ever since. I am thrilled to be returning to the Deer Valley family and look forward to serving the Sunset Ridge school community.

I love spending time with my husband, 12-year-old daughter, and our sweet Black Lab, Bailey. As a family, we love exploring new places through travel and adventure! I am also a runner at heart, and love to be outdoors any chance I can get.

I look forward to learning more about the celebrations and traditions of Sunset Ridge School as we build relationships together, and cannot wait to kick off the school year! Have a wonderful and safe summer vacation.
