Meet Mrs. Simmons
I am happily beginning my 13th year here at Copper Creek teaching Pre-Kindergarten. I love spending my day surrounded by amazing, entertaining, inspiring, and lovable children. Prior to coming to Copper Creek, I taught Kindergarten Enrichment at West Wing School. My family and I moved to Arizona when my husband retired from the Air Force. My husband served 21 years in the service which meant 13 moves for our family. We lived in California, Idaho, Alabama, Texas, North Carolina, Washington D.C., and two tours in England. I have been married to my husband for 34 years and we have two beautiful daughters. Our oldest, Jennifer, lives in Washington where she works as a meteorologist. Our youngest, Rachel lives in San Diego and works with the Navy Marine Mammal Program. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, gardening, shopping, and playing with my pet rabbit, Honey.
Meet Ms. Jenkins
As a Californian native I grew up loving the sun. Sixteen years ago I moved to the Deer Valley area to enjoy even more sunshine. As an active mother of two, I watched my children grow up through the Deer Valley School District. I applied for the teaching assistant position with kindergarten at Legend Springs because I wanted to able to be involved in something I loved while being close to those I love most. After my youngest, Andrew, graduated from Legend Springs I stayed on the team as it had ignited a spark in me. This year my son begins his college career at University of Arizona in Tuscon. My daughter recently graduated from University of Arizona and works in Tuscon. Three years ago I moved to Pre-K, and after 10 years of being a teaching assistant I still enjoy every bit of it. I cannot portray how excited I am for this upcoming year in Pre-K at Copper Creek. As a proud mom, my kids mean the world to me and I love being able to wake up in the morning and help shape the young minds of our Pre-K students.
Meet Mrs. Bull
I am originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, where I was born and raised. Las Cruces is known for it's beautiful landscape of the Organ Mountains and crimson red sunsets. Making the move to Arizona wasn't too difficult, thanks to the similarities of the hot weather and desert landscape. I decided to make the move to Arizona 13 years ago to attend school and explore my independence. I met and married my husband and we decided to continue living in Arizona permanently. We have two wonderful children, Ezra and Ava Sophia, who initially attended Arrowhead Elementary for the first part of their education. After volunteering at Arrowhead in both of my children's classes, I noticed how much I enjoyed being part of their educational journey and also helping other children. My children now attend Copper Creek and I'm thankful for the opportunity to work where my children attend school. This is the second year I've worked in Pre-K with Mrs. Simmons. It gives me great joy to watch the children grow academically and socially throughout the school year. I'm grateful to have a role in helping educate and shape the leaders of the future.
