Enrichment Classes

  • DVUSD Community Education Department is committed to providing opportunities for local citizens and different organizations to become active partners in delivering high quality educational, cultural and recreational enrichment to our community.  Programs and activities are planned to serve the needs of all age groups from preschoolers to adults.  Our most recent Community Education catalog of classes, times and locations is located below.  Class schedules and information is subject to change, and new classes have been added since the time of printing.  To check the current status of a class, or to enroll, please click on the RED registration button below.  For any questions, please contact us at community.education@dvusd.org or call (623) 376-3923.

    2019-2020 School Year:  NEW Enrichment Class Offerings on PLC 90 Minute Release Days
    We plan to offer various enrichment classes as an option for your children on the new PLC 90 minute early release days scheduled on select Fridays in the 2019-2020 school year.  One exciting option on each K-6 and K-8 campus will be our new Board Game Club.  The Board Game Club will challenge students during the PLC 90 days as they learn strategy, team work, and skill as they compete against other students.  Classes will open for registration on August 1st.

    Your child can learn various levels of cheerleading, the basic fundamentals of karate, and the fast-paced game of soccer, all through ActivStars' classes.

    The Chess Emporium actively encourages the youth of the Phoenix area to play chess. We teach all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.

    Fall, Spring, and Summer courses for high school students which are approved by the Arizona Department of Transportation and Arizona Department of Education.

    These seminars help the high school student successfully raise their ACT and SAT scores, in addition to raising scores on other tests.
