My name is Marianne Duffy and I am so happy to be your child's teacher this year! I was born in Phoenix and have lived in Arizona all my life. I have a BS in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon College (before it became a university) and a Master's Degree in Education from ASU. I have endorsements in reading, bilingual education and early childhood education. This year is my 44th year of teaching! I taught in Avondale for 31 years before coming to Deer Valley. I have taught kindergarten through second grade bilingual, EL, and regular classes. I love working with young children and seeing the huge amount of growth that they make in a year!  When I am not working, I enjoy hanging out with my cat, riding my bike, and learning to eat and cook gluten-free as I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease last year.
