Hello I'm Ms. Lorimer art teacher at Park. Ive been teaching here since 2007. I started my career in second grade, then had the great experience of  teaching several years with english language learners.  I transitioned to  teaching art, which is one of my passions, and I get to teach students throughout their time at Park.  I believe students need time in their day to express themselves in artistic ways.  

I have five  daughters and nine grandchildren. My grandkids are so amazing and I enjoy every minute I get with them!  Two of my daughters live in other states  Virginia and Texas and we  visit often.  My youngest daughters are twins and both graduated from college in 2021. They grew up dancing competitvely  and both danced on their college dance teams (NAU and ASU)  I have a fine arts  background in dance as well  and taught ballet most of my life. 

Ive lived in seven states including California and Hawaii.   I worked in education at Sea World in San Diego where I taught the public and school camps about conservation and marine life.

I love to kayak, hike and grow Hawaiian plumerias which is not easy in the desert! My One year old Maltipoo keeps me running as well.  I grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and love my hometown but I was so spoiled living by the ocean that's where I feel most at home.
