Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year and my thirtieth year at Bellair school. During my years here, I have had the chance to teach kindergarten and second grade. I also spent many years teaching 4th-6th grade gifted students Reading, Writing and Math as Bellair's SAGE teacher. In this inaugural year of the Traditional Academy at Bellair, I will be working with gifted students through the SPARK Program, which means I'll be working closely with classroom teachers to provide content enrichment to students in all grade levels.
The SPARK Program addresses the unique needs of gifted students, and offers assistance to high achieving and high potential students as well. Students will attend certain days during the week, depending on classroom needs and schedules, during RTI periods.

During the summer break, I teach technology at Camp Plug and Play, a tech camp for teachers hosted by the Arizona K12 Center. I also attend the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and have taken the opportunity to present technology projects there and at many other conferences over the years.  I usually travel to my hometown of Niagara Falls, NY to visit family and friends during July each summer as well.
I find teaching to be an unpredictable, exciting, and rewarding job and as a life-long learner myself,  I strive to help students become lifelong learners and pursue their own interests at the same time.
