I am a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with my degree in Elementary Education in 1986.  I have lived in Arizona since 1992, so this has been my home for decades. This is my 17th year of being a classroom teacher.  I began my teaching career in Santa Fe, New Mexico in 1987 teaching Kindergarten there for five years.  A job transfer brought me to Phoenix in 1992.  My career in the Deer Valley School district began then.  This is my 12th year teaching first grade.  I am thrilled to be a part of the Copper Creek Community.  I have a 29 year old son who recently graduated from ASU and is working as an Industrial Designer.   I am a Green Bay Packer fan and an Arizona Cardinals fan (if they are not playing the Packers).   I'm a Coyotes fan too.  I like to hike and you can often find me at Thunderbird Park.  I spent a lot of time kayaking this summer at Lake Pleasant.  I enjoy traveling whenever I can.    Most importantly, teaching is my passion and bringing out the best in each child.
