I have been teaching at Park Meadows since 2008. I provide support services in all academic areas as well as addressing behavior and social skills in the learning center for students with special needs.
I believe students learn best when they are happy and secure so they can feel confident taking risks. I also believe all students can learn, they just learn at different rates and in different ways.
Before teaching at Park Meadows, I was a middle school Guidance Counselor in San Jose, California. I also stayed home for awhile to take care of my sons when they were young.
I have experience working with students with a variety of special needs, and my professional and educational background includes providing in home support services to children as young as six months of age as well as providing training to other staff members district-wide.
I am married and I have 2 elementary-aged sons. My husband is a fifth grade teacher and he shares my passion for working with students and families.
