• Accessing the Collection from Home
Students and parents can access the Terramar collection from home by visiting Destiny.  Be sure to select Terramar Elementary School.
In addition to checking the availability of books and creating lists, students and parents can review a student’s account, including due dates of books on loan, overdue materials, and holds. Parents and students may log in via the button along the top right. Log in is the student's Novell credentials.
Once logged into the Destiny system, students can also place a hold on titles.  To place a hold, search for the title in the system.  One you find the title you are looking for, click on the title and choose Hold It
    graphic of Hold It screen
If the title is available it will be pulled the next school day and available for pick up before and after school, during lunch and during class library time as well.
If the title is currently out, it will be pulled and held as soon as it is checked back into the collection.

Children from Kindergarten through the 8th grade may check out books as follows:
    • Kindergarten - 1 book for 1 week
    • 1st Grade - 1 book for 1 week
    • 2nd Grade - 2 books for 2 weeks
    • 3rd - 8th Grades - 2 books for 2 weeks
Books may be renewed once if there are no holds on the title. Students are required to bring the book into the LMC for renewal. Library privileges are suspended until an overdue book is returned, renewed or paid for if lost or damaged.

It is suggested to students that books be kept in backpacks when not being read. This will allow students to have their books when it’s their day to visit the LMC and to protect them from harm. Please be mindful of water bottles placed in backpacks. This can quickly ruin books! Always use the outside holders.
