I am so proud to return to Union Park for its third year, and to continue to be a part of our fantastic Third Grade team! It is truly a pleasure to work alongside educators and a community that are as supportive as ours.
The 2022-2023 school year will be my twelfth year as an educator, my ninth in DVUSD. Of those twelve years, eleven of them have been as a third grade teacher and one year was fifth grade Math. I graduated from ASU (Go Devils!) with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, and before that, spent my formative years in Glendale, AZ.
I believe each child is capable of doing great things, and as such, I hold high expectations in my classroom. It’s my job to support every learner in a way that allows them to meet those expectations. By facilitating an environment where our kids can develop critical thinking skills in all content areas, we are setting them up for success both academically and socially. My goal is to maintain a classroom where it is safe to make mistakes, children are empowered to own their own thinking/learning/actions, and the unique emotional and academic needs of each child are supported.
Personally, my family is incredibly important to me, as I know yours are to you. While I grew up in the West Valley, my boyfriend and I are now settled in Scottsdale and spend our time together watching movies, gardening, cooking, finding new restaurants, and traveling.
