Mrs. Diane Hubbard

Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Diane Hubbard

I started working in the Deer Valley school district in 1988 after working as a fisheries biologist where I worked on a Japanese trawler on the Bering Sea and in the Grand Canyon with AZ Game and Fish. I have been teaching chemistry for 26 years and will be adding Anatomy and Physiology to my resume starting this school year.  I absolutely love teaching for it allows me to work with students and remain in the science realm.
Although I feel I live at school from August through May, I do have a family and a home away from work!  I have been married for 23 years and have a daughter who will be a college junior this year and a son who is attending the USAF Academy in Colorado Springs. Both of my children graduated from O'Connor and participated in sports here at OC.  My son was on the football and track team and my daughter was on the track team and continues to run track in college.  We are an active family and absolutely love sports, especially football!
If there is free time available, I enjoy traveling.  My heritage is Greek and most of my family resides in Greece.  If you enjoy crystal clear, blue sea, this is the place to go! I also enjoy a good day of shopping which is why I won't be retiring any time soon!
I am excited about starting my 33rd year of teaching! I look forward to meeting and getting to know my students and most importantly I look forward to teaching you!
  • I realize this is a very different way to begin the school year.  I am a veteran teacher and this is a new one for me!  We will, however, get through this and I will be here to help you along the way.  This is new territory for all of us but we have learned to be flexible and if you try your very best I believe you will come out a head!
