• I’m very excited for another great math year and fostering your child’s love of learning!  I have and will always have high expectations for my math students.  I firmly believe in a partnership between child, family, and teacher in order for your child to reach their fullest potential and take pride in their success.  As fifth graders it is imperative that your child have their multiplication facts memorized and are fluent in them.  Having this foundation allows for further application and advancement of concepts that build upon one another.

This year our district will continue to support the “Eureka” math program which is designed to better align and engage the students with the AZ College and Career Standards.  I will be following this program along with other supplemental resources to help prepare my students.  In addition, I use IXL, Khan Academy, and Zearn. These websites allow students to practice using their math skills while cultivating a deeper conceptual level of learning along with having fun!  Each child will have their own account to access at various times.
