The Deer Valley Unified School District has a Strategic Plan that includes a College and Career Ready Program of Study for every student. Counselors supplement and support the curriculum with the Arizona Career Information Systems (AZCIS) website. Students are registered and can access the website at http://www.azcis.intocareers.org/ at school or home. Career lessons include an Interest Inventory to help students find the career fields that they are most interested in. Students research a variety of careers and start their Educational Career Action Plan (ECAP) to help them reach their career goal. The results will suggest occupations and college majors that fit your child's interests. These results can help you explore career options and plan for your child's future.
