• Classroom Expectations:

    (These expectations are in addition to the Norterra Canyon school rules, listed in the Students’ Rights and Responsibilities Handbook.)

    1. Always be respectful.

    2. Arrive prepared and on time.

    3. Listen and follow directions.

    4. One person speaks at a time.

    5. Remain seated in your assigned seat, unless given permission.

    6. Have a positive attitude!


    Behavior Management: Positive behavior will be acknowledged through Class Dojo (see below) and Treasure Tickets. Every other Friday, students will have the opportunity to redeem their tickets for a prize of their choice. Treasure Tickets may also be saved up throughout the weeks to earn better prizes. There will also be a discipline procedure for students who choose not to follow my classroom expectations. 

     
    Class Dojo
    Our homeroom classes will be using Class Dojo as a classroom management tool. Class Dojo is a digital classroom management tool designed to help teachers improve student behavior and communicate more effectively with parents. It's a tool that helps develop character traits in students that lead to lifelong success. Invites to access your students account will be sent the first week of school. Students will be able to log on and create their own character that best represents them. Parents can create their own account that will allow them to see their student's progress, as well as send real time messages to the teacher.
