Ms. Sara Lotz

¡Hola a todos! My name is Srta. Lotz and I am a Spanish teacher at Sandra Day O'Connor High School. This is my second official year back to teaching at O'Connor, but my 7th year teaching overall. I have taught at Chandler High School, Northern Arizona University, as well as our neighbor Barry Goldwater High School. Prior to teaching, I studied Spanish Education with an emphasis in Secondary Education for my bachelors degree at Northern Arizona University. As for my Masters, I  returned to NAU where I did coursework in Teaching Spanish as well as Curriculum and graduated with my Master's in Secondary Education in December 2012.  Outside of the classroom, I am very active. I love to go hiking, backpacking, and camping. I also have a serious love of the Arizona Cardinals and Diamondbacks. This year my boyfriend and I purchased season tickets to the Cardinals! Woo! This past Spring I got a black Labrador Retriever puppy who takes up every free second of my time, but I love it. I want each of my students to know that I truly love being a Spanish teacher. Every day for me is a new challenge and adventure. I cannot wait to meet each of you and help you meet your language learning goals. This will be my first year teaching Spanish 5-6 and only my second time teaching 101/102. Please, contact me with questions when they arise. I am so excited to be a part of your continued language learning adventure.
