    Nightly Reading: Monday-Thursday

Each student will be required to read for 20 minutes Monday through Thursday.  Students were given a story board to complete each day after they have read.  Each box is worth a total of 5 points: 1 point for the question, 2 points for the sketch which includes the character(s) and setting and 2 points for a 2-3 sentence summary.  The summary must be written in complete sentences.  The sentences need to summarize what was read that day.  The summary should include the main character(s) and any problems/events that happened while they read.  The students will have their story boards dated so that they know what square to fill out each night after they read. Students are allowed to read ahead.
