• Counseling

     

     The mission of the Mountain Ridge High School Counseling Program is to meet the needs of ALL students in order to help them succeed and prepare to meet the rigors and demands of 21st century global citizens. The counseling program follows the model established by the Arizona State Department of Education, which incorporates the standards set by the American School Counselor Association. The counselors at MRHS provide a comprehensive counseling program that includes 4-year plans, personalized education and career plans, post-secondary action plans, career exploration, and responsive counseling.

  • The counseling office is offering many great opportunities during Parent/Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 17th. We hope to see you there!

    • FAFSA Night- We will have an open lab for senior parents to begin the FAFSA Application with assistance from FAFSA experts. This will be offered in the Media Center Computer Lab A177 from 4-6 pm. Please sign up at https://www.dvusd.org/Page/54235.

    • College Fair- Representatives from the in-state universities along with several out-of-state universities, trade schools, and military branches will be available to talk to students and parents. The fair will run from 4:30-5:30 pm in the E Building.

    • West-Mec Presentation- We will have 2 presentations at 5:30 pm and 6:00 pm to inform parents about the great opportunities in career and technical education at West-Mec. The presentation will begin A185.
