Mr. Adam Laningham, M.Ed.
I am a life-long learner who loves working with children, learning about history & nature, and the “art” of teaching. I am certified to teach Kindergarten through 12th grade in Arizona, and my passion is working with, and advocating for, gifted children.
Being an Arizona native, I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Secondary Education, with a specialization in History, from ASU West. In addition, I received my Middle Level Endorsement, which focuses on grades 5 through 9. I also have my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from NAU, and a Full Gifted Endorsement that I completed at Ottawa University.
Having been with the Deer Valley School District since 2001, I have taught 3rd grade as well as all grade levels 5th through 8th in general education and gifted cluster classrooms. I have had the privilege of working at Deer Valley Middle School as the Title on Reading Specialist, Gavilan Peak in grades 5th - 8th, and Canyon Springs in 3rd grade and then as the Gifted Specialist PreK-8th Grade. I also had the opportunity to help with the New SPARK program at Sunrise Elementary and managed the Gifted Rocks! Summer Program at Highland Lakes for several Summers prior to coming to the distict office.
I am looking forward to an other year at the distict office, and am eager to continue working with teachers and principals to ensure all of the gifted students in Deer Valley get a truly extraordinary education.
