WELCOME BACK!!
I hope you all had a wonderful summer and are as excited as I am to be back. My goal is to do all I can to help keep students and staff healthy here on campus throughout the school year!!
This is my 3rd year as the Diamond Canyon school nurse. Prior to this, I spent 20 years in the ICU and trauma units. I have 2 kids here at DC and one at Boudler Creek. We moved to Anthem from the Chicago area 3 years ago and we look forward to traveling and seeing more of this side of the country. My husband and I love to watch our kids play sports, family dinners and visiting with friends.
A couple key points as we start the year:
Any prescribed medications to be administered at school must be accompanied by the DVUSD Doctor's Order Form, which is located under the "Forms" tab on this webpage. All prescription medications must have this form signed by a physician. Prescribed medications kept in the health office must have a pharmacy label clearly showing the student's name, dosage, instructions and expiration date. All medication must be brought in by a parent.
Nebulizer treatments are being discouraged at school by the CDC at this time due to the spread of COVID-19 virus by aerosolization. Please provide a spacer if an inhaler is to be used at school.
All medications must be picked up by a parent at the end of the year.
Welcome back!!
