Hello!!! My name is Sajan Mathew. This is my 16th year working at DVUSD. I have an Arizona Teacher Certification in Middle School Social Sciences, High School Political Science, and American Government. I have Masters degrees in Political Science, Education, and Sociology. I taught Social Studies to 11th and 12th graders for seven years while I was in India. After moving to Arizona, I worked in Special Education at Highland Lakes School for seven years as a 7th and 8th Social Studies teacher at Terramar Elementary during 2015-16, and as a 7th grade Social Studies teacher at Highland Lakes for the last seven years.

    As a parent of two gifted children, I am very aware of my students' daily expectations from their teacher. Also, my experience with special-needs children molded the other side of me as a teacher. I enjoy traveling and exploring different cultures around the world with my family.
