Mrs. Jessica Heeb

Hello! My name is Jessica Heeb and I am excited to start a new year!  My teaching career began after attending Drury University in Missouri where I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and graduated summa cum laude in 2010. I later went back to receive my Masters in Elementary Administration from Missouri Baptist University. I have continued my professional development here in Arizona, recently completing my endorsement in Structured English Immersion and currently working toward my Gifted endorsement. This is my 10th year of teaching! I taught first and third grade in Missouri before teaching second grade and RTI Academics at Sunrise Elementary here in the Deer Valley Unified School District. My childhood dream was always to become a school teacher. I feel very blessed to have the privilege to do what I love. This is my fifth year teaching in Arizona and my third year at Sonoran Foothills. I am thrilled to be a Bobcat!

Before moving to Arizona with my family, we lived in Missouri where I was born and raised. My husband grew up in the Phoenix area and attended Paradise Valley High school before moving out of state. His profession has now brought our family back to Arizona and we are proud to call Phoenix our home. I have been married to my husband, Ronny, for 19 years and we have two children together. We have an 18 year old son, Hayden. He recently graduated from high school. We also have an eleven year old daughter named Kierstyn. She is a Bobcat at Sonoran Foothills and is a sixth grader this year. I also have a step-son, Ronny, Jr., and daughter in law, Marissa, who just moved here to Arizona from Colorado, where he was stationed in the army. We are big St. Louis Cardinals baseball fans. Spending time with family is one of my greatest joys! We love to be outdoors and go hiking, boating, camping, swimming, and bike riding. I also enjoy volunteering, crafting, and antique shopping. Interior decorating is a passion of mine.

Being a parent myself, I understand the importance of communication, especially when it comes to my children's education. I want to provide every opportunity I can to help your child reach his/her potential. I believe in open communication and working together as partners to see all students succeed. I will strive to create a friendly, inviting, and positive environment, providing support in an effort to meet your child's social, emotional, and academic needs. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any questions you might have. It is going to be a super year! Go Bobcats!!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Heeb
