Three student recognition programs are available to those enrolled in Mountain Ridge Project Lead the Way Biomedical Sciences Program
Mountain Ridge Project Lead the Way Biomedical Sciences Program Completer Award
- Complete each course (PBS, HBS, MI) with a minimum EOC level of Practiced or Higher
- Complete each course with a passing grade
- Pass the Capstone course (BI)
- Student will receive a certificate and PLTW BMS cord to wear at graduation
AP + PLTW Recognition
To earn the recognition:
- Students must satisfactorily complete three courses in the pathway:
- One AP course (AP Biology or AP Chemistry)
- One PLTW course
- A third course, either PLTW or AP
- Earn a qualifying score
- 3 or higher on the AP exam(s)
- Score of Proficient or highter on PLTW End of Course Assessment(s)
- Students complete an enrollment form online

- Certificate will be mailed to student after scores are validated
DVUSD Career and Technical Student Organization Recognition Award
Students in Career and Technical Education (CTE) courses who are also active in the Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) can earn program specific cord to wear at graduation.
- PLTW Biomedical Sciences/HOSA
- Students review the requirement document
- Compile documents for submission
- Cord is granted when requirements are met
