Mrs. Tiffany Roose

My name is Tiffany Roose and I grew up in Missoula, Montana with my younger brother and sister, as well as my parents.  I moved to Phoenix to attend Arizona State University, following high school, and graduated from ASU in three years with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Psychology.  I also have an ESL (English as a Second Language) endorsement and an Early Childhood Education endorsement.  In addition, I have my provisional Gifted Education endorsement, and I was a Scottsdale Charro's Teacher of the Year in 2011.

This will be my twelfth year of teaching. I taught for eight years at a multi-age school in the Scottsdale Unified School District from 2003-2011.  I began teaching at Arcadia Neighborhood Learning Center in a K/1/2 classroom for three years.  In 2006, I moved up to the 3/4 grade level and taught those grades for two years.  My last three years of teaching at ANLC was in a 5/6 classroom.  I was very fortunate to have looped with many of my students, and had several of them for six or seven years in total.  The relationships I formed with both my students and their parents are extraordinarily special to me and I still keep in touch with many of them.

I took a five year hiatus to be with my family as a stay-at-home mom. My husband, Hakon, is my high-school sweetheart and we just celebrated 13 years of marriage in July (22 years together)!  My son, Hendrix, was born in 2011 and my daughter Presley was born in 2013.  Hendrix is a 3rd grader at Diamond Canyon and Presley is in kindergarten!

My passions include my family, friends, photography, reading, working out, enjoying the great outdoors, and my family’s many visits home to Montana! I also love Diet Coke and chocolate!  Teaching has always been my dream and I love working with children!

This is my fourth year of teaching fourth grade at DC!  I feel blessed to be part of the Diamond Canyon family and look forward to working with this amazing team of administrators, teachers, students and parents! Fourth grade is my FAVORITE grade to teach and I can’t wait to get started!
