A Little About Me!
Hello and Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Kristina Arnold and I have been an educator for 23 years. I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a degree in Sociology in 1992. I then moved to Arizona where I earned my post-Bach degree in Elementary Education and later my Masters Degree in Elementary Education. I also have endorsements in both Early Childhood Education and Reading. All of my classroom teaching experience includes kinder, first, and second grades. I won the title of Deer Valley Teacher of the Year during the 2013-2014 school year. On a more personal note, I have been married to a wonderful man for over 25 years...his name is Scott, or affectionately known as "Mr. Arnold" to my students. The kiddos will hear a lot of stories this year about my two "children" named Cookie and Chester. They are, in my opinion, the cutest kitties on the planet. When not at school, I love to be outside as much as possible. I love to hike and ride horses...in fact, I have a lovely horse named Irish and I can often be found at the barn after school and on the weekends! Coffee and "grape juice" are my favorite beverages and will always earn students bonus points on assignments...just kidding! I hope that this lets you all know a little about me...I look forward to getting to know all of you this year!
