About Your Teacher Ms. Hayden
Hello Kinder Families,
Welcome to Ms. Hayden’s Class, where it is my pleasure to assist in your child’s growth this year. You are your child’s first teacher. I am forever grateful you are allowing me the opportunity to share in their learning.
A little about Ms. Hayden
I grew up in Arizona, have attended and or worked the last 41 summers at my parents’ camp (Imagine That), which is housed at the same location I went to preschool (PVUMC Preschool). I taught my first year out of college at the
elementary school I attended for six years (Cherokee- SUSD) and now teach at the school down the street from my families’ first house after moving back from Germany (on Kimberly Way 2003). It continues to amaze me over the years, how no matter how far you travel, the road leads you often home to what/where you love most.
I attended ASU, as an accounting major. However, I knew my passion was teaching. From the time I can remember I gathered my stuffed animals in my walk-in closet, teaching them about concepts I had just learned.
After graduating from ASU, I married a USAFA graduate and toured around the US and the world with him. Together we raised two amazing daughters, Emily and Maddie, who I could not be more proud of. During Matt’s career, we lived in 10 different houses, on 2 continents, in 6 different states (in Arizona 3 times), and the girls both went to 6 different elementary schools, 2 different Junior Highs and thankfully only 1 high school. We now have perfected the art of packing, moving and making friends quickly. For the past five years, we have “grown roots” back home in Arizona, enjoying being close to my parents (Oma and Papa) and forever friends. I have transitioned from yearly military moves to redecorating our classroom often, as well as my house-although here 5 years, the curtains are still stapled to the walls, because you never know when you will have to move next. Decor changes often, however everything has a special place to live.
My daughters are my joy. Emily graduated in May, retired from competitive cheerleading and is headed to The University of Alabama next week. Roll TIDE.
