Ms. Bise

Here is a little about me...

I was born in Brooklyn, New York. I moved to Arizona when I was in third grade. I love to go back to New York to visit, but Arizona is a great place to live! I am thrilled and honored to get to know and teach you.

I graduated from ASU in December of 1993 and began subbing in the Deer Valley schools. From the first day I subbed, I fell in-love with teaching. I was thrilled to be given a long-term substitute assignment in fifth grade. The next year I was given my first class of third graders. I can still remember the excitement of having my very own class. I stayed in third grade for two years before moving up to fourth. The fourth grade curriculum, students and teachers I had the privilege of working with were incredible, so I stayed there for 23 years! When I heard about the Traditional Academy at Bellair, I was so excited and knew that I wanted to be a part of it from the beginning. I get the added benefit of teaching the leaders of the school and teaching the two best subjects, Math and Science! I am especially passionate about Math, and I am so excited to share that passion with you!  I work hard to ensure that my students share my enthusiasm for learning and especially develop a love for learning and Problem Solving. I have a Master's Degree in Education from NAU and continue to go to trainings and workshops that can help me become a better teacher.

I  have two boys. My oldest son, Anthony graduated last year and is going to GCC this year.  He works hard in school and at his job, and I am proud of his achievements. His little brother, Nolan is in eighth grade at Hillcrest this year. Nolan also plays for the O'Connor Jr. Eagles basketball team and the feeder football team. They both love sports and Anthony played football for all of his years at Sunrise Mountain.  I also live with my love, Will and his two children, William and Grace. William also graduated last year and also played for Sunrise Mountain all four years. We are definitely a football family and will miss those Friday night lights. Grace is a Senior at Sunrise Mountain this year, has a passion for her horses and is amazing with animals. We love to explore beautiful places in our camper, travel, go to the lake to jetski, snow ski, hike, watch football and have fun together. My most exciting adventure was skydiving with Anthony when he turned 18! My happy place is definitely the beach, and I go to either New Jersey to see family and hang out at the beach or to San Diego each summer. We were lucky enough to go to Hawaii for Spring Break last year. I'm so excited to be your teacher this year and to get to know all about you!
