Hi! My name is Ms. Nelson -

I am your ELA & Social Studies teacher.  This is my 6th year teaching at Desert Mountain & with the Deer Valley School District.  I was a substitute teacher before I received my teaching degree.  I have 2 kids (Tyler - who is 16 years old, a Junior at Boulder Creek H.S., and he is on the JV football team; MacKenzie - she is 1 1/2 years old, and she definitely keeps me on my toes.  I am a huge animal lover, and have several different types of pets.  I love going to the beach, Starbucks and I am also a big Disney fan.  My all time favorite Disney character is Stitch.  Lastly I am also addicted to collecting RAE DUNN mugs and other things she makes :)
