A little about me:
This is my second year at Gavilan Peak School teaching 7th grade english, and I love it. Last February my baby girl, Selah (say-luh), was born and she is the light of my life. In addition to being at Gavilan for a second year, my wife, Carly Miller, has joined the GP team teaching fifth grade math. Other than that, I have three dogs named Oliver, Baloo, and Flo, and they are as much a part of the family as. Oliver is a basset hound who is long, awkward, and all sorts of fun. Baloo is a Saint Bernard who is a whopping 200 pounds of cuddles and love. Last but not least is Flo, a rescued pitbull who came into our lives about two months ago. She not only loves us but she is Selah's favorite dog by far!
I guess I should tell you about my education. I graduated highschool in 2013 from Northwest Christian School and attended Grand Canyon University for college. I entered into the College of Education and fell in love with teaching middle school kids during my student teaching. From there I worked with a few friends to develop a game based classroom that incorporated English, Science, Social Studies and Math all into on while allowing the kids to have fun, be safe, and learn competitively.
