This is my 40th year teaching in the DVUSD. I have taught second and third grade at Village Meadows and Copper Creek. This will be my 11th year teaching third grade. I am one of the original teachers who opened Copper Creek in 1997.

I love teaching at Copper Creek. The teachers are so highly qualified I was confident and sent my boys here. Third grade is my absolute favorite. The team is united in providing the best learning experience for each and every child. In my class, I believe all children can achieve knowledge if given the right tools, taught to think critically and be challenged to their greatest potential while learning in a loving, safe environment.

Mrs. Crenshaw

Hello, my name is Heather Crenshaw.  This year will be my 14th year teaching.  I have taught first and third grade.  I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University, and I am an Arizona Native.  This is my first year at Copper Creek!  I taught 3rd grade at West Wing last year, and was in the Peoria School District prior to West Wing.  I have a 7 year old son, who is in 2nd grade here at Copper Creek!  I have been thrilled with my son's educational experience at Copper Creek, so I am delighted to join the Copper Creek family as a teacher now!

I come from a family of educators. I always knew growing up that I would become a teacher one day.  I have a passion for teaching because it brings me so much joy to watch my students learn and grow each day.   We shall become a classroom community, working together as teaching partners, so your child succeeds and embraces the love for learning.  I look forward to getting to know you and your child to make this an incredible year!

When I am not at school, I am running my handmade jewelry business.  I also love spending time with my family, hiking all over this beautiful state and practicing yoga.  Namaste!

Welcome to 3rd grade! My name is Hunter Wooldridge. I have been teaching in 3rd grade for 3 years. This is my 4th year teaching. I am looking forward to a wonderful year!

My philosophy in teaching is to provide a safe, positive environment for all students in which they develop the skills and concepts they need to become responsible, contributing, community minded citizens.

My personal goal for my classroom is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. I plan to take students at different levels and see them develop together for the betterment of each individual. Therefore, group work is the key to having a successful class and is something I value, along with exploration. The impact of group work, when students help fellow students, changes each person and transforms the atmosphere of the class as a whole.

In my classroom, I want students to have freedom that allows for expression and creativity. Students should be able to experiment with likes and dislikes and to realize their strengths and weaknesses. After this base is developed, the curriculum can be molded to tie in each student’s learning style.

I love teaching at Copper Creek. The teachers are so highly qualified and truly collaborate and work as a team. Third grade is my favorite. The team is united in providing the best learning experience for each and every child. Go Bobcats!
