Hello 8th Grade Families and Students!

I am so excited to begin the school year with you. I can't wait to get to know each one of you and work together to make this a year you will always remember. Here is a little background about me.

I was born and raised in California. I spent the first 12 years of my life in the Bay Area in a small valley town called Pacifica (which is now apparently a GREAT surfing spot!). Right before my 8th grade year my family moved to Long Beach to be nearer to my huge family (My mom is the oldest of 11 children and I am the oldest granddaughter of 30 cousins!). I taught Pre-K for 9 years before I was married in 2000. My family moved to Georgia and spent 7 years soaking up the warm and charm of the south. My son Sam was born in Gerogia. From there we moved to the Mid-west and spent two years experiencing real winters in Naperville, IL. We moved to the warmth of Arizona in 2014 and decided to put down forever roots here.

This year my daughter will start her last year of high school and my son is entering high school as a freshman as well. We love to hike and visit our family in California. I am passinate about STEM and all things techy. I run the Moxie Girl club which is an after school STEM club for our middle school girls at SV. I am looking forward to an awesome year of learning, laughing and growing together!
