Greetings and Welcome to Fourth Grade Reading and Writing (ELA)!

I am very excited to take my fifth year journey with you and your family!

I am originally from Philadelphia, PA and officially moved to Arizona over 10 years ago. As a young child, I have always enjoyed writing short stories, poetry and plays. This passion lead me to attending and graduating The University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing and Journalism. Fast forward a few years, I returned to Arizona and married my husband of 10 years. He is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. After working in two state agencies as a employee handbook editor, we had our first child. I decided to pursue substitute teaching for the flexibility and I fell in love with the profession. I have spent 5 years guest teaching in multiple grades with all of my long term assignments in fourth grade. Four years ago I decided to go back to school and earn my Masters in Education from Grand Canyon University. My family has expanded into three children ages 9,10, and 5 years old.
