BA Elementary Education Structured English Immersion Endorsement DVEA Region 7 Representative DVEA Membership Chair

Mrs. Stacy Brosius

Welcome to 3rd Grade Mustangs!

This year is my 6th year teaching 3rd grade at West Wing. Before I started teaching full time, I was part of West Wing as both a daily and long-term substitute teacher.  I also sat on the PTSA Executive Board for a number of years.  My unique position in the school allowed me to get to know the ins and outs of West Wing first hand. The strong community at West Wing is why I knew  I wanted to teach here and why my own children all all WW alumni.

I am a graduate of Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and completed my graduate level coursework in ELL through McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. I have my Elementary Education teaching certificate and Structured English Immersion Endorsement. I spent six years teaching 2nd grade and three years teaching 5th grade Social Studies and ELA in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Before that, I taught middle school English as a Second Language in Nagoya, Japan through the JETT Program.

As a teacher, I believe that all students are capable of success. It is my job to empower them, encourage them and support them in their learning. I work hard to create a classroom that incorporates the love of learning as well as an understanding that we are all human and that kindness is always forefront in our daily interactions. I can't wait to see what this year will bring us as we take the journey together!
