Mrs. Stacy Brosius

Welcome to 3rd Grade! I am know that this year is starting off in an odd way but I am positive that togehter we can make it a great experience.

This year starts my 3rd year of teaching 3rd grade at West Wing, Before I started teaching full time, I was part of West Wing as both a daily and long term substitute teacher.  I also sat on the PTSA Executive Board for a number of years.  My unique position in the school allowed for me to get to know the ins and outs of West Wing first hand. The strong community at West Wing is why I knew that I wanted to teach here.

Before accepting the position at West Wing I was able to spend twelve years being mom to three boys who keep me very busy. My youngest is proud to call West Wing his school too!  My older two are West Wing Alumni. We also have two nutty dogs (a great dane and a bulldog) that I am positive your children will be hearing about on a regular basis. Our family moved to Arizona 8 years ago from North Carolina and have spent many summers exploring the western part of the country. When not in school you may find us camping or travleing but most likely we are on the lacrosse fields as all 3 boys play the sport.

I am a graduate of Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania and completed my graduate level coursework through McDaniel College in Westminster, Maryland. I have my Elementary Education teaching certificate, English as a Second Language Endorsement and Structured English Immersion Endorsement. Before my teaching hiatus, I spent six years teaching 2nd grade and three years teaching 5th grade Social Studies and ELA in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Before that I taught middle school English as a Second Language in Nagoya, Japan through the JETT Program. This was a great experince!

As a teacher I believe that all students are capable of success. It is my job to empower them, encourage them and support them in their learning. I can't wait to see what this year will bring us as we take the journey together!
