Hello,

My name is Mrs. Benson.  I am so excited to be a member of our Desert Mountain community.  I'm also absolutely thrilled to be teaching Kindergarten this year! This is my 10th year of teaching.  I have spent 7 of those years teaching Kindergarten. I firmly believe that every student is capable of success.  I also believe that we all learn in very different ways.  I use a variety of teaching strategies to target each students learning needs.   Each year the kids come in to my class as newcomers eager to start the year.  By the end of the year they leave as first graders taking a piece of my heart with them.  We are going to have a very exciting year learning so many new things.   I hope to make this very first year of school extra special for each student.
