Courtney Reyes was born in Alamogordo, NM. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and Education at Western New Mexico University. She then earned her Master's of Science Degree in Mathematics with an emphasis in Education at Prarie View A&M University. Courtney's teaching experience includes teaching various entry level courses at Prairie View A&M as well as HS Math in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She is currently working as the HS Math Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment for DVUSD. Courtney grew up in Alamogordo, NM, where she attended Sierra Elementary School and Alamogordo High School. She played Volleyball, Basketball, and Softball and continued playing Softball at Western New Mexico University. She also coached at Prairie View A&M for a year while working on her Master's degree. Courtney has always been around education and leaders, as her Mom was a HS Math Teacher and her Dad was a Juvenile Probation Officer. Her parents also both coached softball, where they instilled values of hard work ethic, the importance of education, and to always improve and grow in all you do. Courtney enjoys spending time with her family, traveling to NM to see her parents and to TX to see her sister and her family. She is very proud of her niece and nephew.
