Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Tsau

My name is Lisa Tsau and I will be your child's first grade teacher.  I graduated from the University of Arizona  earning a Bachelor of Science in Education with a major in Special Education and Rehabilitation.  I then attended California State University Northridge earning a Professional Multiple Subject Teaching Credential.  I have taught first grade for 8 years in DVUSD and have previously taught kindergarten, 4th, and 5th grades.

My Philosophy

I believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a secure, caring, and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. It is my desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential in these areas by providing an environment that is safe, supports risk-taking, and invites a sharing of ideas.
  My Family
I am the mother to three beautiful and active boys: Ryan 17, Nicholas 15, and Owen 12. My husband, John, and I have been married for 22 years! We have been in Anthem for the last 14 years and love everything about it.  Our evenings and weekends are filled with baseball, soccer, basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
I am very excited to be your child's first grade teacher.  I feel truly lucky to be part of such a great school and community. I look forward to meeting you and your child.
